Appointment Schedule
We see patients by appointment only. If you do not have appointment or need to be seen before appointment, please call us before you come. If you are unable to keep appointment, please call us as soon as possible. We value your time and do our best to stay on schedule. The occasional delays are usually because someone is worked in due to acute illness, needs extra time or arrived late. In such circumstances, we hope you will understand and bear with us. On occasion, you may be beneficiary of this policy. Of course, if you need to see us, we will work you in.
Emergencies
Our office is not equipped to handle medical emergencies. Therefore in case of emergencies please call 911 or proceed to nearby emergency room. Be sure to tell the attending physician the names and dosage of all medication you are taking. If you need emergency hospitalization, primary care physician or hospitalist physician will take care of that. If the primary care physician or hospitalist physician wants to consult us, we are available. If you are hospitalized in connection with asthma and allergies, contact us as soon as possible after discharge, so your ongoing treatment can be adjusted. For acute asthma and allergy problem which are not an emergency, you may call us. If you need to see us, please call us early in day. At any time your chronic asthma or allergy symptoms are not under control, medications are not helping, you suspect side effect or problems from allergy injections or medications prescribed by us, and you must call us so your treatment can be adjusted.
Medical Records and Reports
After your initial evaluation has been completed and a treatment plan established, which usually takes two to four visits, we will send report with copies of your skin testing, lab reports, lung function results etc., to the referring physician. Thereafter, we expect you to keep your primary care physician informed about your current medications, etc.
Prescription Refills
For the long term and maintenance medications, please get your refills when you are in office for a checkup, injections. If you need refill over the phone, please call during working hours. We advice that you keep two days’ supply of current medications separately for emergency situations. If in spite of all this you are out of vital medication service and need an immediate refill, you are welcome to call us any time.
Telephone
You can count on us for prompt and courteous service when you call. Explain the reason for your call to the receptionist and she will direct you to the right person. If you need to talk to medical staff, they will return your call as time permits, to avoid interrupting care of patients who are in office. In urgent and emergency medical situations, please call 911 or proceed to the hospital emergency room. Whenever calling us, please have your current medications and pharmacy phone number at hand. We can be reached by calling 407-804-6002. For routine matters, please call during working hours.
Medical Insurance Plan
Dr Rajesh Patel is board certified allergist associated with many insurance plans. Please bring your insurance card with you to visit. As you know most insurance plans require us to call them prior to providing service.
WORKER’S COMENSATION AND AUTO INSURANCE: We do not participate in the treatment of illnesses in Worker’s Compensation claims. Nor we handle the initial emergency care from automobile accidents.
